Hear on the Coast
At Hear on the Coast, we are committed to providing the highest quality hearing services. We are dedicated to be the leading client-centered hearing clinic on the Coast and our aim is to ensure everyone has the opportunity for better hearing. Hear on the Coast is a locally owned and operated Hearing Clinic offering appointments at our Sechelt clinic, the Pender Harbour Health Centre or in your own home.
Our services are completely mobile which allows us to help people with mobility issues, health conditions and those in remote areas. This will ensure clients have accessibility to professional hearing services without compromising their hearing health needs.
Terra Dannes is the owner and founder of Hear on the Coast. She is an award winning Hearing Care Professional with over 30 years of combined experience in customer service, business and hearing health. Terra is known to be very capable and resourceful enabling her to find a solution regardless of the situation.
Terra has extensive knowledge in all areas of her profession. She enjoys the testing process which unveils a persons particular hearing ability as well as the challenge of prescribing, fitting and maintaining hearing aids, FM systems and assistive listening devices.
Founding Hear of the Coast was out of the need to ensure a continuity of hearing care for the Sunshine Coast Community. With the closure of local clinics during the first year of COVID-19 it forced people to travel to North Vancouver for hearing services. This impacted our community greatly and led to the decision to ensure reliable, consistent and professional hearing healthcare with priority service to our local community - Hear of the Coast.
Terra Dannes has lived and worked on the Sunshine Coast for 26 years. She raised her two boys on the Coast with the amazing opportunity of living in Pender Harbour, West Sechelt and Halfmoon Bay. You may know Terra from some of her other interests including sailing, dance, gardening and in her spare time, she is a well loved acrobatic teacher to local dancers.
Working with others to better our communities has always been important for Terra and she has a history of volunteering with the Fraser Valley Child Development Centre, was the Founder and Co-facilitator of the Royal Columbian Hospital Special Care Nursery Support Group, founding member of the Gibsons Landing Sailing Club, volunteered for various soccer teams throughout the years and as the Poppy Chair for the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 140 in Sechelt.
